Jacob founded Nail Mark Ministries back in January of 2007 because of the burning passion for truth that God put in his heart. When Jacob was 15 God grabbed a hold of his life saving him from a hopeless lifestyle of drug abuse and anger. Since trusting in Christ for salvation Jacob has sought to turn over control of his life to Jesus for the glory of God. When Jacob was 16 he sensed God's call on his life to enter into vocational ministry and has been pursuing that mission ever since. With all of the confusion both inside and out of our churches now days, Jacob feels an urgent call to equip the church, and students in particular, with the truth of the gospel and the means to defend it.
Jacob has served now in the Lord's ministry as an associate pastor of student ministries in two different Southern Baptist churches. Celebration Baptist Church of Ulysses, KS for 3 1/2 years and now currently serving at First Southern Baptist Church of Junction City, KS since May of 2008. In addition to this, Jacob had the privilege of serving as the Director of Evangelism for the Western Kansas Baptist Association for 2 years.
Jacob is a Certified Apologetics Instructor (C.A.I.) for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Apologetics from Luther Rice University. He is now continuing his education with a Masters in Biblical studies at piedmont baptist graduate school.
Jacob married the love of his life, a wonderful woman named Susan, in October 2003, and they have 2 children, a son named Titus and a daughter named Zoe. Plans are in the works to adopt their next child from Africa.
